The Virginia Department of Social Services website offers a wonderful search tool that allows users to search for assisted living facilities throughout Virginia by Facility Name, Location and Zip Code.
This tool also allows users to look up facility inspections, complaints and violations report.
To find this information, simply choose your location, and then ‘assisted living care’ and a list of facilities in your area will be displayed.
From there, select a facility, which will bring up further information about the facility, including it’s capacity license type, contact information and more.
Scrolling down, you’ll see a list of inspection dates, sorted by most recent, and whether there were complaints or violations that occurred during the inspection.
Clicking on the inspection report will display information about what was reviewed and the results of the inspection.
Inspections reports should be considered essential information for any facility that you are seriously considering.
